With Transport Canada Certification we are fully accredited to resell off-road electric vehicles in Canada and around the World.

Founder and President.
Passionate about engineering and growing businesses. Nathan began his engineering career in 1994 at Arrowhead Products working as a CAD Engineer on Commercial Aircraft, Delta IV Rocket and the early Joint Strike Fighter.
In 1996 he moved to the Automotive Sector as CAD Designer at Metalcrafters and in 1999 he moved to VP Engineering at Aria Group where Nathan managed the development of many concept, pre-production and prototype vehicles for the major OEM's. He also worked at Boeing as a CAD Design Engineer on the International Space Station. In 2003 he started his own automotive design engineering business, Motive Industries which he ran with Darren McKeage for 9 years. After losing the company in 2013 Nathan worked as VP Engineering at Draganfly Drones, VP Engineering at Havelaar Canada and finally Lead Product Designer at Genesis Robotics before starting on his own again with ACF and Aptera.
Nathan was a volunteer Director for several organizations including The Calgary Makerspace, STEM Alberta and The Canadian Space Society Ab. He was VP of ABCTech for a few years. He spent time on the Alberta Fusion Energy Steering Committee and volunteered with FIRST Robotics. He authored and taught a course at ACAD called 'Design for Manufacturing' and taught Automotive Engineering for three semesters at the Art Centre College of Design in Pasadena.
He has received a few awards for business and engineering work. Top 40 under 40, Alberta Venture Business Person of the Year, TechRev award for Technology Innovation, ASTech Honouree Award in the field of Technology Futures, ABCTech Entrepreneur of the Month, Popular Science Innovation Award and Law Enforcement Award for Best New Vehicle.
COO
Eden is responsible for the day to day operations of this company. As one of the original founders Eden has helped grow the company and keeps the guys in check. Former Finance Coordinator for Glencore E & P (Canada) Inc., Executive Assistant for Scotia McLeod, Former owner of Eden and Earth Health and Wellness Inc., 2019 Calgary Candidate for the Animal Protection Party of Canada.
Office Manager
Trent Gould started working here in January 2022 as the Office Manager where he is in charge of and oversees Admin responsibilities. He is a motivated and responsible young worker. After graduating high school, Trent took some time to travel the world. He has won gold in both city and provincial Div 1 football, as well as being an apprentice structural iron worker.
Engineering Advisor
John has his Master’s and his BSc in engineering, he is the founding partner and principal engineer in several Calgary based firms. He has worked in many biomedical and mechanical projects in his career. John has been a registered professional engineer with APEGA since 2003, as well as being an Avenue Calgary Top 40 Under 40 alumni. He started working with ACF recently as an engineering advisor.
Administrative Assistant
Kristen Driscoll has been working here since June of 2022. Just recently, she finished school and switched to a full time position. She assists in administrative tasks as well as she is learning to work in 3D printing. She helps out with various everyday tasks and is excited to continuously learn and to expand her role within the company.
Marketing Manager
Luna Armstrong has been working here since October 2020 as head of marketing along with helping out in admin. Since she is still a full time student, Luna only works with us part-time. She built and runs the Armstrong Electric Vehicles and Armstrong Custom Fabrication websites. Luna has been working with 3D printing and assisting in building robots since 13.
Fabrication Shop Manager
Tait Fiedler is a red seal Auto body technician as well as a versed Automotive Service Tech. With experience from insurance repair shops to custom fabrication shops, welding shops, all the way to high end restoration shops. He graduated from SAIT with a passion for vehicles, motors, and anything mechanical.
Machine Shop Manager
After getting tired of utterly dominating the manufacturing side of the oil and gas industry in Alberta, Kelly decided to move into an industry that more closely aligned with his love of fast cars. His 22 years of experience as a Red Seal machinist, programmer and project manager gave him a great background for his self appointed title of being Armstrong’s most awesome Machine Shop Manager. He joined the Armstrong team in April of 2021 and has tremendously enjoyed collaborating with his fellow extremely talented employees on various interesting projects. Kelly’s goals at Armstrong have been to manufacture high quality components with turnarounds so quick that they leave the customer beaming with delight and awe. When Kelly isn’t stroking his own mammoth sized ego, he spends his spare time on the race track with his car or on several types of back country adventures.
Composites Manager
Mark runs our composites fabrication shop and interfaces with clients about all things composites. He is a 35 year veteran of the aircraft and composites industries plus a very competent aircraft designer. An avid pilot and lifelong student of everything technical, Mark creates beautiful panels and is constantly cleaning up after the other guys
Composite Technician
Chris has spent the last 32 years involved in the aviation industry as both an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, Composites Technician and an Airline Transport Pilot. Recently Chris has changed careers and is now having a blast fabricating all kinds of interesting composite structures used on the cutting edge equipment we use at Armstrong Custom Fabrication.
CNC Operator
Armstrong graduated a CNC Machining course from SAIT in 2018, where he then started working in the oil and gas field. Liam joined Armstrong Custom Fabrication in August 2020. He started here running a CNC machine. He then started working in our composites shop, where he became the manager and showed great responsibility. Just recently Liam switched back into his old position as a CNC Operator where he thrives.
Electrical Engineer
Lucas Boutin graduated from Electrical Engineering in 2020 and is currently working on the electric drive components of the various ACF projects. Lucas’ background is in R&D prototyping in the electric motor and robotics fields. During his time at ACF he has worked on designing the hardware and software that powers the EB-1 electric motorcycle, as well as the Daymak Spiritus electric car. Currently he is working on designing new renewable energy harvesting for use on future ACF projects.
Mechanical Engineer
Kam has been with Armstrong Custom Fabrication since February 2021 and has been involved in the manufacturing and assembling of multiple electric vehicle prototypes. With skills in both CAD and fabrication, Kam can work on prototype projects from the early phases of CAD models all the way through the metal framing and composite panels to interior finishing. Kam’s personal interests in driving on and off-road vehicles is a large inspiration in his work and helps his ability to create unique vehicles of varying types and capabilities.
Electrical Engineer
Alex Joined our team in 2021 after graduating from the University British Columbia’s Electrical Engineering Program, prior to that received his diploma in Electronic Engineering Technology from Okanagan College. While in school Alex took on a variety of volunteer opportunities including the Director of the UBCO IEEE student branch, a Resource centre/Maker space for students to work on school or personal projects. He also Assisted with the setup and operation of Okanagan College’s RoboCup Jr competition, a competition for Elementary and High school students to learn about robotics and control. Alex worked as a summer student at Anodyne Electronics Manufacturing working on the production and testing of various aviation communication equipment.

Zach graduated high school in 2017 then went on to work as an AV Tech for two years, where he managed sound and lighting during events. During 2020 Zach spent the year exploring and learning about the world. He started working for ACF in April 2021 as a Composite Technician.

Thompson is another one of our original employees! Starting in August 2020 as a Composite Technician, he has worked on many of our exclusive projects and loves learning more every day. Thompson has always had a passion for cars and is excited to be part of the growing electric vehicles industry.

Xander graduated high school in 2021 and went on to complete an auto body technician course at SAIT. He just recently joined us at ACF in August 2022 as a comp tech with a special interest for finishing. Xander has always had a passion for electric vehicles and is thrilled to have joined the EV industry. He is excited to learn more every day and become the best sander around.
